Heritage Railway

As part of a restoration project run by the Groudle Glenn railway on the Isle of Man, Midcam fabricated the cabs.

This is a continuation of our work on the replica steam locomotive “Brown Bear” which is being built by the Groudle Glen Railway on the Isle of Man. This involved the fabrication of stainless steel water tanks and carbon steel cab and coal bunker. Although the fabrication is all-welded, dummy rivets were added to replicate the rivetted construction of the original 1905 locomotive.
